It seemed like a good idea, put a 1/2 inch lap joint in where I'm joining the sheets of ply, so that it would be stronger. I did a good job of the joint, but then I get stupid and broke it by trying to pick up the now 4x11 sheet of 3/4 inch ply from the end with the joint. Yea... leverage is a wonderful thing. It actually delaminated the ply where it broke.
