I used a 9" roof vent instead of the standard 14" roof vent -- cost, about the same. The bigger vent felt like a lid for a jack-in-the-box. The top is strong. I sat on it to put in the roof vent caulk and screws, and to caulk and rivet the paneling joint you can see.
