Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

The hatch is a heavy 3' x 4' x 3/4" piece of treated plywood with 26-gage white steel sheet metal on the outside. Weight is about 45 pounds, designed heavy so the wind can't catch it easily. It is held up by two 3/4" diameter aluminum tent poles, permanently fastened to the countertop in U-channels.
