I did not want to have to haul around 8.5' conduit around, so I sleeved them where necessary. This is what 3/4" conduit looks like when you crush a 5/8" OD aluminum tube inside of it using a hydraulic hose fitting crimper. The crimper only attacks a little over an inch area or so at a time, so you have to go with small squeezes, keeping it indexed so you can slide it in and out of the crimp jaws while bringing it down far enough to slide into 3/4" conduits ID. Worked out great.
