I wonder if you will have more show up now that no one has to be concerned about missing the Colts game. :( What a bummer. I just wish it wasn't so far down there. Being that far south you guys should be nice and toasty warm.

First one up stoke the fire and put on the coffee. :campfire: Last time we had an Indiana camp out it was close to 100 degrees. This time it will be close to zero. You boys like the extreems.

I'm still on the fence about this trip. I want to be there, I just don't want to drive there.

They call us The Extreme Team!  A few of us "hard core" kayakers went kayaking on Jan 1st, just because. I guess its the same with camping. Although this is serious cold! I can understand your situation Jim. Thats quite a drive. We will take lots of pics for those that can't make it.

Can't wait I've never seen any of the other 3 tears that will be there.
Bobs got a clear roof, I'm thinking of putting in a 4'x6' skylight right over the bed so I can look at the stars. Wifes all for it, That's always good

Just got in from cutting firewood (dont tell my orthopedic doctor). Have enough for three nights! It was 15 deg, and stayed warm with heavy coat and gloves. Cut on thumb got a little cold though! Bumped it a couple of times and it reminded me that it is still sore! Dont think surgery is going to be required. Had the heat on in the tear all night, and it was 65 deg inside it this am. Let the shiveree begin!!!

If I get my tip out figured out tonight I will need some 1" mini logs about 4" long.

About 15 years ago I attempet to remove my right index finger with a table saw exploded the knuckle and gave a kiss to my middle finger.
The E.R. Doctor explained the need for therapy blah blah... or it may become stiff . Still slightly under the influence I smiled sweetly shoved my freshly bandaged finger up my nose and said " I guess I can still use to pick my nose". He was not amused. Probably upset because I cheated him out of a referral fee. The point is it healed fine and no lingering problems. Some times it's just nice to be lucky !

DUH It just sunk in you left your pretty new baby outside all night !!!!

P.S. I do not want to park my clunk next to your new toy ! Nothing personal it's just too damn pretty!

'Course I got less money in my entire build than you have invested in epoxy

Thanks Bob, but all tear drops including yours are fantastic. I would be happy to have you park next to me.
Yes, the touring lodge has been outside for several days now, under a heavy tarp. Might as well get it used to the cold weather
1" mini logs -no problem.
And yes, the $$ in epoxy can shock you into reality when it comes to a woody tear. Problem was that I mis-figured on the amount. Twice. I should have known better after doing the canoe and kayak. I bought in small quantities and paid more for the privelege.

I thought of another good reason for camping in the winter. less ice used I can just set my drinks by my chair and they'll stay cold

Are we there yet Image

I've got my puller all lined up (his name is easy to remember it's Scott also) we're leaving at about 10ish and taking the non interstate slow route,
I might try and get it weighed before I leave town.

What's the food thoughts? We've got the warmth figured out
anyone planning anything special or we just doing fire food as I'm sure we'll not be to far from the fire  :campfire:
