I don't see any problem with the 16th. I sure hope it rains by then so we can have a campfire!

Good, They must be getting a shower here and there. Right here there hasn't even been a dust settling rain since sometime in July. Even the neighboring counties have had a few showers. Dangerously dry...

I might up for the 16th. That would give us a 1 weekend break after having camped the previous 5! 8)

I won't have my new TV done by then - fresh out of the barn!

The good news is Oc. 16 is good for me. :)

The bad news is the Mrs. said no to camping. This thing with the MIL is not working out how I expected. :x

Guess I'll have to settle for a day trip.

Jim, could be worse.

Think of the nice day you'd have if the MIL came along.

Bring your Volvo and take me for a ride.

Did I remember hearing someone suggest McCormick's Creek for a summer gathering? We used to go there all the time in the summer when the kids where little. Nice & shady camping sites. Really nice campgrounds from what I remember.

Thought we'd put our two cents worth in....

That's good possibility for the "summer gathering". The shade should be nice in July.

Last time I was there it rained all weekend so it's hard to know (for me) how nice it was.
==================================

McCormick's creek State Park is on the list as well as others.

The other possibilty is Potato Creek State Park.

We'll be looking at these parks in the spring for possible sites for summer.

Are we still on for a trip to Versailles State Park this weekend? Is anyone camping?

Sure wish but I can't see myself bending over and crawling into a teardrop this weekend :(

Still might make a road trip :worship: and I'm pretty sure Kurt and Jim are headed down.

Well to hijack the thread for a bit, Surgery went OK on Thursday. By Friday morning I thought I was gonna die from the pain I couldn't even sit up or stand. Today proved to be much better with the help of a cane It's made it a little easier to get around and a walker by the couch I'm sleeping on makes it a little easier to stand. Hopefully tomorrow will be even better.
I've got a good scare, Kind of looks like he used a butter knife on my back

Here i the next couple weeks I'll make a trip down to Versailles so that I'll be ready to book my site as soon as they open that weekend for reservations on 12/19.

Back the the couch before the meds kick in on me 8)

Scott you'll like the park. it has a lot of shade and mosot sites are level. All are paved. with electric and nearby water.

Hang in there, fight the pain, and root for the Colts :applause:
