Bella has no fear of big dogs.

Althought I hope some day she learns to avoid skunks and porcupines.
Her only real fear is being left behind on a trip and getting lost in the woods without me. (Of course I never get lost, ya right even with a GPS in hand,).

Last night when I tried to reply to Route66 I got immediately redirected to another site and then started getting critical error messages--so I was thinking maybe what he had in his cooler was Spam!

...I think as long as he didn't remove it from the can, it could work...

How on earth is a person not to survive camping without a can of Spam?

Quite easily, actually...

Now Craig, being the quintessential Minnesotan, I'm not so sure. He likes the more "distinctive" SPAM flavors...of course, he likes lutefisk, too... :o

Don't think our kids have ever tasted it...at least not at home as I never have used it in my married life. Had it as a kid & was not a fan.

But the SPAM museum is a definite positive! Been there, done that a few times. I remember when it was in the mall...and there was a big train wreck in Tomah back in the 50s where several car loads of SPAM ended up in the ditches & a small pond. Apparently, people were coming from all over to load up on the stuff. Must of thought they'd died & gone to heaven!

  I won't touch the stuff... :frightened:

I think we had it once a week growing up...spam sandwiches, fried spam, spam and eggs.

Haha - Ok, I get it . . . laugh it up at my expense.

So . . . since you guys don't want the "good stuff" I was willing to pop for, I'll go ahead and bring 3 cans of Spam . . . might even throw in Turkey Spam for all you guys on a health food kick. It will probably rain again and we'll be stuck there until Thanksgiving so the Turkey version should come in handy later on down the line . . .

I'm fairly certain all the Camp-Inn owners are behind this - it is well known throughout the Teardrop community that Spam cans turned inside-out, flattened and spit polished are a common replacement part for all the stuff that is constantly falling off those 550's as they roll down the road . . .

I have it on good authority that redgloves/Jean was patching her trailer up with Spam cans over the Winter and forgot to turn them inside-out !! What a goof ! She ended up spending hundreds of hours "Walbernizing" them just to remove the Spam label . . . I'll be checking her trailer out very carefully at this event . . .

The only thing that fell off so far is the license plate.....

Have to use SPAM because there is no worthy generic equal.

Ah....well...you do know that Craig is from Minnesota, don't ya?...but I don't think he'd narc on himself...

I think yer just sour grapes cuz you can't use the flattened SPAM cans & have them look as good. :fb :x

But I digress...time to turn this thread back over to the potluck people...sorry for the detour! :R

I am switching to shepards pie for Saturday night. Maybe I can do one of those dump cake things in the DO. Do you want it for Friday or Sat?
