You guys in Northern Indiana don't want me to head up the January Shiveree because you KNOW it will be at Brown County State Park!!!! You know-- heated restrooms and hot showers!!! Then we talk about the food!!!

The very first Shiveree was in Brown County SP. I didn't camp but I remember it being quite cold. Even with Bob's mini wood (pot belly) stove it was a challenging outing. Over the years the organization has gotten much better and it sure looks like fun.

With that being said...I won't be there (to camp) but you never know who will show up for a visit. I hope you all have a great time.

I went to one Shiveree, that was enough. When I was a yout I didn't mind the cold and camped out with temperatures as low as -16. Since I have become older and wiser (debatable  ) these old bones don't like the cold anymore. Therefore I too will let the rest of you freeze your a$$e$ off, I mean have a good time.

Eric (my brother) is talking about tenting it for the Shiveree  and I'll probably get the duct tear out and see how it handles in the cold before I strip it for the canvas covering.

Does Brown county have any paved sites that's always a plus if you have to push snow off that way you'r not walking in mud, just never know in Jan

The loop ( Buffalo Ridge) where the first Shiveree was held had paved sites but they were covered with snow (and there was no mud at 12 degrees) .

Hey Scott,
First off, there is no topping those scotch eggs. Also, tell Eric if he brings his tent I will bring mine to so he doesn't feel out of place. I have been wanting to try out its 4 season capability ever since I purchased it.
:worship: :?
