I might have to change this to warmer near the lake, because right now it is. With all that water only 3 blocks away it stays much (a little) warmer at my house now. Any way, now that I have your attention, the shelter is ours for Saturday the 26th of April. I took care of that first thing this morning. I know I promised perfect, great, good, ok maybe fair weather, but now we dont have to worry. We can settle up that weekend. The cost is $100 and with all the people we have signed up it wont cost much for anyone.
Stay warm and see ya all in spring.

Just had to chime in again that I am really excited about the camp-out.

I have major cabin fever and am feeling way too cooped up!

I have only gotten to meet one or two teardroppers before, so this event should be total teardrop-mania for me!

Also, I just bought a little pickup truck to pull my camper so I won't have to eat Parnell's dust like I did last year!

still no idea what i'm doing...

I was getting the itch to camp this weekend as the temp got to 59 degrees. I should have trusted the reports and went for it. Well at least I got an opportunity to set-up the new canopy I got for Christmas!

I'm glad i didn't put off reserving a space any longer. Pretty much the whole north end of the campground is booked up.

At least we will have the shelter as a great gathering place so if people still want to book sites in the south end of the park they will know where everyone will meet.

TLC hopefully we will not need to seek shelter from the rain! Are you planning on staying Sunday night?

hey everyone, the "brown" sites are rentable too right? just on a 1st come 1st serve right? we could look into getting those too. maybe if i talk to the campsite manager we could get all of them reserved for our group? let me know if anyone wants me to try.

the other option is for anyone that has a reservation, when you show up, if a site is available within the "non-reservable" sites, you can switch your reserved site to one of 'em.

Guess I shouldn't have waited so long. Mostly all booked up. But I will be in site #103. This will be the first time I have been to any Teardrop gatherings. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the people I have seen on the forum. Should be a fun weekend!

just a note, all of the sites in the north section are reservable. the only first come sites are in the southern section, I belive it is the even numbered sites. Their is no way to change that policy

tk,
the brown sites are already reserved by someone outside our group. The red are reserved by people associated with our group, the blue are still avaliable to be reserved but you check:
http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/specific/ka/
to reserve a site.
If you are considering going, and I hope you do, I would reserve a site ASAP unless you are able to get to the park earlier in the week and nab one of the unreservable sites. This is one of the disadvantages of having a gathering at such a popular park.

Woodbutcher, glad you can make it. I am looking forward to meeting a fellow Illinoisian.
