Cooler Near The Lake 3

Camping in the Midwest, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin & Kentucky. Also includes Buckeye, Hoosier and BlueGrass Tearjerker chapters

Postby BrwBier » Sun Jan 25, 2009 10:16 am

To try and attract more teardrops to this already awesome gathering I will have a prize (as yet to be determined) for the greatest distance traveled to get there. If anyone else has ideas for prize categories and prizes or any other fun stuff just post it and lets see what happens.
To those from more inland areas, if you have never camped next to this much water you really need to come here.

Hey Bob,

I have a suggestion there are several people who like to craft different things -- maybe we could craft a item to donate as a prize. I would be willing to donate a couple of hand knitted dish cloths(rags) as a prize. Plus it will give me something to focus on while I am pining for spring and warm sunny weather :D .

Great idea! I could weave a scarf for "Cooler" Near The Lake. They would use it too! That is if we are doing a gift. Another one could be the most people a board member brought. Or most people that are going to sleep in the teardrop...I have heard some people sleep more then two... But yeah, I can weave a scarf to go with one of the prizes.

It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

The bad or good thing is I had a lot of orange juice left over and not so much vanilla vodka after that first night. A handle of vodka gone and only a half gallon of orange juice, so the drinks were kind of thick.

We are on site #7, and Dianne, if you bring more plastic mice and spiders, my boys will probably want to sleep with you....and your dogs. At least you will be warm (and crowded!)
See you all soon.
