Anybody still camping?

Postby Claw » Fri Oct 20, 2006 10:12 pm

Is there anybody in IL, IA or WI still camping or making plans to camp yet this year?

Hi Jim,

Just got back from a long weekend at Turkey Run in Indiana.
Will probably be the last for the season...gotta get after the yard work, and other chores...

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

I fold!! I put the teardrop away last weekend. :(

That's OK, I'll get it out early in the spring and get it ready for 2007. Can't wait (but I'll have to).

I'm also done for the season. Too cold to enjoy the outdoors. Now it's time to plan on 2007's outings. Early spring I plan to install a new axle with trailer brakes, then I'll be ready to go.

It's camping season in Florida. Finally cool enough to have a campfire for more than keeping the skeeters away. :D

I am tent camping in good old Big Flats, Wisconsin this weekend!
It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

I use to take Rt13 south out of Wisconsin Rapids then take 21 east to the interstate to avoid the scale on 39 north. Isn't Big Flats just west of the 13-21 intersection? It is not far from the CampInn CampOutt location! Keep the fires burning.

Big Flats is about 5-6 miles north of 21 on Hwy 13. You might be thinking of Arkdale...if I am not mistaken.

Big Flats is approx. 20-25 minutes from CampInn Facility.

There is also a Big Flats in upstate New York. It is located between Horseheads and Painted Post. Anyone been there?

Jim. I used to live there in the 60's. Went to college in Corning and worked in Elmira.
Pretty country.

I camped out in my TD in the backyard on January 6 here is south central PA. It was only 40 degrees at night. Quite pleasant.
