Mike, are you looking for kentucky only or is southern Indiana ok? There are many choices within 30 mins give or take on the Indiana side of the river.

When are you going to Louisville, and what do you plan on visiting in the Area. This weekend every thing is full up-Derby_ I live in Radcliff. 30 miles south on Dixie Highway and can give more info

It is going to be around June 28 to July 1. My sister in-law is coming in from California, and she has a friend that lives their and would like to go see her. My wife also has a girlfriend that lives their so we figured on make it a camping trip. But they do not really do camping so their not sure what is around. I did find a KOA south of Louisville and some place called Otter Creek Park.

Thanks, Mike

Otter Creek Park is part of the City of Louisville park system, it is a good clean park It is off Dixie Highway on county road 1638, I have been there for Family picinics but not to camp, I will try to get more info later Otter Creek is just about to Ft Knox, and the Patton Muesuem Has its own enterance off Dixie now. The KOA that I know off is in Elizabethtown,Ky, just off I65 at exit 94, on Tunnel Hill Road.
There is a KOA in Clarksville In. just across the Bridge on I65 Travel time from Clarksville to the southern part of the city is less then the time from Otter Creek to L'ville

Not sure about places right around Louisville, but one of my favorite places is just a bit up the river from there in Madison, IN. Clifty Falls State Park is a great park and has a very nice campground. It's probably less than an hour away.
