Don, sorry to hear you will be unable to attend the gathering. :(
Your build it turning out pretty nice. I like the cabinet pulls you picked out. It looks like your paint covered nicely. We'll see ya down the road.

Sorry we will miss you Don...hope to catch you on our next outing. Hey everyone I posted the highlights of the Fall Tin Can Tourist gathering from 2 weeks ago on my album. Loads of Vintage trailers with lot of TLC in the refurbishing. Way fun. I'll bring the laptop with the whole lot and also cool car show photos too. See you all soon.

Nice pics Carol !! Looks like you tow with an Outback ?? If so, how coincidental . . . we're neighbors at Shabbona and I'm also towing with the Outback these days.

Is Brutus coming ? ;)

Mike,
You bet....Brutus will be there in all his glory convincing everyone he rules the world  I love my Outback. Even though it only a 4cyl, its about the highest HP for a 4 banger. Very user friendly car and has towed the TD and my popup with no effort. Can't wait to meet everyone! I'm bringing a pie iron too with yummy stuff for it. Also smores for anyone who is interested.

You take the url of the picture and wrap it in the [IMG] tag...

This page has one image on it. http://flickr.com/photos/9951692@N04/1431178324

Looking at the properties of the image, the actual image is http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1122/143 ... 1d23_d.jpg *

So now we wrap that url in the tags and voila

Image

*Flickr makes it a bit harder to get the image link because of their tagging system. You actually need to click on See different sizes to get the correct url to the image.

We will be tent camping for the weekend get together.

There's just no way in hell we can get the trailer to a point that we can camp in it in time.

Too much other stuff going on right now.

We may rent a popup for the weekend.

Rick It looks like you have a decent start on your TD and in my opinion it is better to spend the time doing it right than to rush to meet some abritrary deadline. The gathering will give you some good ideas. I had mine pretty much complete before I went to a gathering and saw a my first TD up close. I am glad you will be there. This should be fun.
Carol I have a pie iron too!

Rick, Don't buy yet. Just use mine for the weekend. Its a sweet 10' Jayco. If you like it then we will deal. But for now feel free to use this trip for a cozy place to stay. You would do me a favor anyway, since I need to take pictures of it to list it for sale later this year. Call me and we will figure it out. :)

Things for folks NOT to bring...

(We have this leftover from the wedding cookouts and we'll be bringing for general use...)

Jelly - We have assorted single serve jellies - Strawberry, Grape and mixed fruit.

Plastic cutlery - mixed box of about 100 sets.

Sugar - 4 22oz restaurant style shakers

Salt and Pepper packets 100+ packets of each

One bear of honey

4 chafing trays, stands and fuel as well.

Styrofoam bowls and paper plates. ~100 of each

Hot and cold drinking cups. 200/100

And there's some other odds and ends too.

We'll also bring a 42 cup percolator... It will contain leaded coffee...

We'll figure out something for unleaded coffee.
