We're trying to put together a TD/TTT or "Whatever you got" get together at Shabbona State Park in Shabbona, Illinois.

http://dnr.state.il.us/lands/landmgt/pa ... TM#Camping

DATE CHANGE:

Proposed date: Oct. 5-7, the following weekend (Oct. 12-14) is the rain date.

All interested parties please pipe up or we will stalk you via PM's! 8)

See the link above for info on the park or you can Google for more information. Those who enjoy fishing will be in love with the park at first try, the camping facilities are awesome!

We should try to register/reserve NLT Aug. 17th. If we can get a headcount ahead of time I can probably just reserve a block of sites. I will call the park tomorrow and see if a single person registering all the needed sites will be OK and post back.

Below, I've tried from memory to mark water boundaries, trees and grasses enough so that we can work on choosing a general area to reserve sites in.

Pretty much everything to the left of the road and down from Canvasback Cove is wooded.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to make it this time. That weekend is our 4th Annual Camp-Inn Camp-Outt at Castle Rock County Park in Mauston, Wisconsin.

Oh, well, can't do everything!

Sorry guys, the powers that be said that was the date. But I'm glad it worked out in the end. We (or at least I) should be able to make it to Shabbona the weekend of Oct 4.

Thanks for the change, Rick. :applause:

At this point, it looks like I won't be able to make it for the Camp-Inn Camp-Outt, so I know how you felt about having to make a choice. :(
