:clapping hands: Glad to see more are joining in for the weekend.

Jim - we had read about Whitewater in April, sounded great but never could find out what the dates were until tonight when we read your post.
Unfortunately we can't make it now....I signed up for an all day conference at work on April 12th. :(

Betsey - Sure the gathering is more than welcome here in the southern climate...we reached a high of 48 degrees today with 30 mph winds. The snow is almost gone in our yard but there should be room for all of you.
We have plenty of firewood, but the solar showers may still be on the chilly side

Do not even think like this!! In a couple of weeks MN is going to have very very nice weather. Warm days :icedtea: and cool nights :campfire: for a great camping opener.

Tina it will be good to see you guys on the 25th. I can hardly wait to get out of town for a weekend. :vroom:

Please add me to the list with site 102. I can't pass up a gathering this close to home.
I would have reserved sooner, but waited until after visiting my daughter in Oklahoma and attending the Beaver's Bend Gathering. Had a great time.
Will see you in September if not sooner.

 Welcome...looking forward to meeting you. We have been looking for some nice campgrounds in Iowa for
WE getaways...any suggestions? One time I read about a place
that had a walking swing bridge but can't remember where and we thought about the Maquakota Caves,
been there to visit but not camp.

That sounds like it could be one of my favorites. It is very secluded. Popular with trout fishermen but underused as far as camping(no electric). I took Claw on a tour of the local parks and he really liked it ,too.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS PARK: Has 240 acres of beautiful and rugged area, encompassing over a mile of Elk Creek trout stream. The park is located three miles northeast of Greeley at 2511 Oak Road. Park facilities include picnic and RV camping areas, hiking trails, well, toilets, hunting and trout fishing.

Bad news it was torn up really bad with a flash flood last fall. Will not be open to camping this year or ????

thanks for the info on the parks....we'll check them out on the web.
Too bad about Fountain Park being closed, it sounded like a nice
place.

Backbone is only a couple of hours from here...might be one to try.

thanks again.
