I will be taking orders for T-shirts in about a week. I'll post the particulars on this thread. They will be in the ball park of what they were last year, about $10-$12, depending on how many are ordered.

I am seriously thinking of offering sweatshirts, as we all know that it really IS cooler near the lake at the end of April.

It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

But seriously, I am going to see what it would cost to do them and I'll let everyone know.

Here's my two cents worth on the Door prize discussion. Lori, Jim and I attended the Vintage Trailer Rally last year in Montello. This is how they handled it.
Everyone who wishes to participate brings either a camping related item or teardrop related item. Homemade or store bought. When you bring it, your name goes in the hat. All items are spread out on a table for everyone to look at. Then after dinner, the names are picked out of the hat, one at a time. As your name is called, you come forward and pick a prize. That way everyone who brings one, gets one. No chance of getting your own entry. Well, one chance but highly unlikely. Pretty fair way of handleing it. (and there was some trading afterwards)
Tom

PS Betsey, I'm in for the sweatshirt idea.

Good idea Tom(TLC)!

Sweatshirts good idea Betsey!

Jack disavows anything I post, since I don't know the meaning of the word raffle :duh: when I should have written door prize instead of raffle.

The sweatshirt idea sounds good. I sure could have used one last year, along with a rain coat! I will bring something for the raffle/pick a prize as well. See ya all soon.

Betsy,
I also like the sweatshirt idea (zip-up hooded).

The door prizes were fun at the vintage rally. People were trying to trade prizes ( or take them, right Jim) and it made for some laughs.
Some of the prizes were real interesting from trailer t-shirts , homemade gifts, to dutch ovens.

Like the zip up sweatshirt idea too....also if not this time maybe next gathering instead of a regular old t-shirt how bout a long sleeve one. They get lots of good use up in these parts. Just a thought for maybe next time.

The amazing thing about that door prize give away at Vintage Trailer Rally is that I previewed what was given and I picked out what I wanted from all those prizes and I was the last name called right behind Tom's and I ended up with the prize I wanted. I just took it from the person who picked it and they had to go pick again. By the way Tom what did you get anyway?
