In all seriousness though I actually personally like the Paul Bunyon Chapter as it would lend a lot of fun to the contrast between the TALL legend and the TINY trailers.

Just a little information that compares Minnesota lakes with Wisconsin Lakes:

Wisconsin professes to have 15,081 lakes.

However, 9,037 of these lakes are unnamed and average only roughly four acres in size, leaving only 6044 that are large enough to be named.

In contrast, Minnesota has 11,842 named lakes larger than ten acres.

When including unnamed lakes over ten acres the number is 15,291. Various estimates propose that if Minnesota were to lower its cut-off threshold to five acres the number could approach or exceed 20,000 lakes.

In addition, when considering the surface area of each of the states five largest lakes (great lakes excluded), Wisconsin's largest cover 204,105 acres whereas Minnesota's top five total 896,387. Add to that the fact that the surface area of Minnesota's largest eight lakes is greater than all 15,081 "lakes" in Wisconsin. Minnesota also possesses more shoreline than California, Florida, and Hawaii combined.

i like

"Up North" chapter...
Superior Chapter
Great Lakes Chapter
Beer & Cheese Chapter

prior to the thought of this chapter i never imagined i'd wanna be associated with minnesota (i don't care for the Vikings)... but being the nice open-minded Packer fan I am, i'm willing to set aside my differences for the purpose of camping with cool people who camp in cool campers...

****Elmo, we should get together... looks like mid to late August for me. I'm traveling and working at State Fair with our Bagalot (www.2bagalot.com) until then.

I've got a few ideas... can't wait to work out the details w/you!

Hey Betsy,
Count me in on whatever you guys figure out. Sounds like more fun. Looking forward to more campouts this summer now that I finally made it up here to Appleton.

Hi Tammy!

Superior Chapter was actually our first thought, as we have the lake in common. But we decided not to go with that for a few reasons.

Great Lakes Chapter is already taken by, well, by the Great Lakes Chapter

Happy 4th!

Hi Carol!

Good to hear from you. Glad to hear you are all settled in. A bunch of us will be camping at Black River State Forest July 20-23. It's a bit of a drive for you, but come on over if you can. Jim is coming all the way from the Rockford area.

I sure like Tom's suggestion of "Northern Lites". Nice play on words.

Down here, south of Milwaukee, we don't see much more than that glow in the sky from Milwaukee. It sure is an awesome when you can see the real thing.

The logo, with all the potential colars, should be the envy of the Tearjerkers.

For a further play on words: Knights of the Northern Lites.

OK I vote for Prairie to Pines Chapter

It is not geographically exclusive. Although I have enjoyed Wiscesota while in both those states this is the view over my back fence...

so I would feel very much included if the handshake is not too tough to learn.
