I wanted to take this opportunity to tell all that are attending the Raccoon Lake Gathering that I will have 20 or so Dutch Oven lid lifters with me. I will have them for rent for the gathering for 1 cent (plus a $20.00 deposit)
To be returned to site 247 by noon Sunday for a full refund of your deposit. I am confident that there will be very few actually returned and the deposit is payment in full for any size lifter you choose to " Test drive"

So if you are using a dutch oven or a big cast iron chicken fryer retire those channellock pliers and come see us as soon as you arrive.

THIS JUST IN!!!!!!

After hundreds of man hours, and dedicated work by a team of top meteorologists, the national weather service has guaranteed that we will have weather this weekend. Some areas will be hit by storms and rain, while others will have sunshine and warm temperatures.

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.
