Winter Camping Camp Out in Wisconsin

Postby dwe » Sun Jan 11, 2009 9:19 pm

I am getting antsy and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a campout in the winter. Maybe the end of Jan or one of the first weekends of Feb. It could be called Winter Thaw. If we would have it near it could be Dam Cold Near the Lake. Don't know what is open in the winter and who would be interested. Could be central to whoever is interested. Antone interested. State Parks in Wisconsin do not take reservations.

I don't think I can get my trailer out right now. It is all snowed in. I will be lucky to get it out for CNTL III. :worship: I hope.

Lol!!
Thank you for everyones concern.
Thanks Tim, but nope...I didn't get a boy friend...I got another dog!! :D :D :D They are so much more usefull anyways!
Beware though...this new dog is not like my other two...he is not trained yet. He is an attention whore and a runner. (He is 4 years old and his other owners didn't pay any attention to him.)

Yeah :) I will make him into a camping pup soon!
He has to be on his best behavior for Minden.

Here he is!

I am really sorry I took over your post. If there is an interest to go camping before CNTL III I will think about digging out my trailer, but I do not have it ready for camping yet at all.

Boy he is a pretty boy! I'm sorry about hijacking too. I'd go for a winter campout but it would have to be closer to home. I'm still unemployed and I'm on a bit of a budget.

Thanks.
Still no job?? Ouch, sorry to hear.
My aunt is losing her job to the Philipeans (sp?). She worked for a place to call in and complain about her paper. And my other aunt lost her job this past week. She workerd for a pest control company for 21 years. She is currently laid off. Hopefully not for long. They may lose their house. So yeah...

Sorry to hear about your aunts. I'm doing OK. I just can't spend my money until I have another job. I hope I can make it to CNL and the gathering in Minden, but I'm not going to make reservations yet.

Going back to the original subject, I'm not terrribly excited about camping while the temperature is in the minus digits, but I'm also not sure I can wait for Cooler By the Lake. End of February or beginning of March would certainly have me thinking. How about where? I always like Devil's Lake.

Gary

Tim, I certainly hope you are going to Cooler by the Lake. I don't see you signed up. Also where are Toby and Sue. Gary M. we can never have enough Garys. Lori and Duke are there.

Well it looks like there is a little intrest in camping in late winter. I am going crazy without camping. Went to the green bay camping show thislast weekend hoping the itch would stay in green bay. Not. I would be interested in camping any time. Devels lake would be fine.
