We certainly had plenty of great food,

Tears by the River.

Postby Wild Bill » Mon Sep 14, 2009 7:01 pm

I wanted to go but had a schedule conflict. I do not have a lot of weekends to spare, life is too busy for me right now. Hope to slow down a bit and join you next year. I am from Aurora, and that event is close as far as I am concerned, about 3 hours west from me. I am glad you had great weather and a good time was had by all. Wishin I was there,
As a kid we used to go the the Mississippi Palasade State Park, North of Savanna. I have not heard of the Thompson Causway, sounds like a great place and very reasonable rates. Bill :(

Here's a pic of what is at the end of the Potters Marsh trail after a 7 mile round trip hike . . .

. . . and a lucky shot I got on the way home through 70 miles of corn and bean fields.

I tried to explain the Moose Salute to him, but he didnt listen.
And on top of it, he had Jackie behind everyone, so she didn't make it in the pic!

Dianne
