I agree, it does not seem that people are as excited as in years past, but then it is kind of cold out (not exactly the kind of weather that makes you wish you were in your TD). Last year was definately miserable wih all the rain, but one good year's weather and it will be hard to find a spot the following year. I'm impressed by the park and the warm shelter. This is a great event and has always had great people and I am sure that this year will be no different. I will always try to be here for this event.

We might be interested but where is it? I do not see a location or am I missing it?

Shadow Catcher,

The park is KOHLER-ANDRAE STATE PARK, WI. It is located on Lake Michigan (thus the name of the gathering) a couple of miles south of Sheboygan. Nice dunes, great beach, wooded sites, lots of deer and best of all are the great TD people.

On page one you will see I put the link to make reservations for a camp site.

Last year it was definately COOLER near the lake. This year it could be awesome. :worship:

Yeah, it's cold, but it is fun.
This was my first gathering (CNTL II) and we had flash flood and tornado warnings, so needless to say my tent didn't last long. I spent the whole gathering sleeping in the cab of my truck with my two dogs. Fell in love with teardropping!! Lol!

Add one more attendee! I've just booked spot #11. Gotta be a first time for everything -- I need to actually pull this teardrop and camp in it!

A good start. I believe there were about 30 of us last year and I don't see many of the old guard signed up yet so we are looking to be in good shape. I can't wait to get camping again.

Yea, in spite of the past bad weather we had a great time. Maybe with some action on this thread it will get people thinking. Besides with rain the last 2 years, what are the odds it can rain 3 years in a row! Look for sun and temps in the high 50's or better!

Lets see, wisconsin in April, yeah, three years of rain in a row would not be out of the question, but heck, what a little rain?

We are planning on coming, but are not going to reserve a site. Wisconsin State PArks in April are never full. We only make reservations in the summer months, when the parks fill up.

FYI 19 of the 42 sites are already reserved. Gary has 10 of us listed. Who hasn't come forward yet?

Yes, I see that there are some reservations in the first loop, but if it gets too crowded there there are still94 other sites we can "slum" in if the best sites are full. It just always bothers me that the reservation money that used to go to the DNR to upkeep the parks now goes to a private company...but never mind....Onward to April...and we will see if I have a teardrop done by then......

I guess its time I post in this thread. Unfortunately I will not be attending this year and the shelter has not been reserved. I dont think it will be a problem but someone else might want to look into it. I have tickets to see Mark Knopfler on Saturday night so I won't be camping then. I might come out for Friday night but you cant reserve for only one weekend night so I will see what happens.
