Hey Tom, I can't talk to much Coleman, cause I don't know that much. But I do know how to find them. I am working on my first rebuild including new paint on a 220 lantern. Wish me luck!

Betsy, I predict great weather. It has to start cooling off soon!

OK, Just Curious.

Arriving from the west, what would be the easiest route to take to Cassville?

Crossing the Big Muddy at Prairie du Chien, or taking the ferry at Millville, Iowa?

Either way, we're looking forward to some r & r.

I know for mileage, crossing at PdC is a bit less (maybe 10 miles) than crossing with the ferry. Also, with the ferry, there is the extra time involved - waiting for, then loading the ferry & the time to cross. Maybe up to 30 minutes; less if you don't have to wait. Ferry cost would be $26 for truck/tear combo.

I think either way would be a nice trip. You could go one way & return the other. It would be fun to have some pics of the tear on the ferry.

When we camped at ND a couple of weeks ago, Craig & I ate lunch while watching the ferry making the journey back and forth. It even had to contend with a big barge headed north. Looked like fun!

Looking forward to seeing you & Faye. :)

Hillbilly one -
Don't make reservations, There is plenty of room to camp with us. If you are coming prior to friday you may have to get a site for the night up above in the campground.
Look forward to meeting you.

Dennis & Faye,
as Betsey stated both are nice drives. But beware after Labor Day the Cassville/Millville Ferry only operates Friday thru Sunday. Here is the link:
http://www.cassville.org/rates%20and%20schedule.htm

We will be there sometime on friday, hopefully around lunch time or soon after.

Thanks for all the Info folks.

We plan on taking off sometime Thursday morning, so, if anyone else is thinking the same, we can provide a little company.

We are so looking forward to fall camping. We feel it's the best time of the year to do some teardopping.
