Glad you can make it Glenn. The showers are in the middle between the upper and lower campgrounds. Here is the distance from the main group to the rest rooms and showers. The yellow strip down the middle of the campground is a sidewalk giving us a direct path...

I posted under Tearjerkers, but thought I should put it here too.

I just booked for site 128, Fri/Sat (b/c of the 2 night requirement). However it's unlikely I can be there until Saturday afternoon.

Will bring some sort of dessert/breakfast treat. See you there!

93 checking in

Postby csgmtu » Tue Aug 10, 2010 5:29 pm

Hello,
I have 93 and I will be joining this fest, I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I live 10 minutes from the site and I can get my WIFI signal in the campground (just kidding).

I will be be bringing pulled BBQ pork for the pot luck.

If anyone happens to be a mountain/trailbiker, this area is well known for some great trails ,so bring your bikes. Personally my physical activity will be limited to running to the food table for seconds.

See you Friday

Karl, could you check this out when we get closer to Friday and see what the scoop is? This will effect my planned path in and you know my motto; (better late then never) I need all the help I can get.

Lori, glad to see you'll be coming. Too bad you're only coming for Saturday night ( I assume).

This should be an easier trip than the one to Whitewater. Once you reach the toll road and get up to speed, it should be a piece of cake.

See you there.

Karl, thanks for a great gathering.

I got up at 4:30am and got all packed up so I could get on the road at 7:30am

I got home at 12:15. I'm kinda sleepy so I'm taking a short snooze before it gets too late.

Hope everyone has a safe trip home.

We resisted the 183 mile long yard sale on S.R.12 for over 120 miles going up ....

However... on the way back we stopped and picked up my sister a much needed love seat for her small new apartment. So if any of the locals saw a fool dragging a barn with a sofa stuffed in his truck it was probably just me. We left at 11 arrived safe and sound at 6:45. The best part we didn't get lost on the return trip.

Had a great time and met a lot of neat new folks.

While it is good to be home we are counting the days until the Indiana Fall gathering.

Thanks to every one, especially Mr Karl

P.S. Got pics to post and a surprise note I found on the kitchen counter when we arrived home to tell ya all about tomorrow.

Here is the update as promised.......

Most of you who have met me know
a gear or two has slipped.

However I am real proud of my puppies.

Each time we are unable to take them camping with
us I have my buddy Jim look in on them. Each time
this has happened I find one of the pups have left
me a note. Kinda a diary of what's been up while
we were gone.
Here was the latest I found on the counter upon my
arrival home last evening.

Friday

Mom & Dad how was Mo-town ?? Did you get to see
the Supremes – Temptations – Stevie Wonder ??
Was Elvis there ??

We are doing O.K. Uncle Jim and aunt Sheila came
by and let us out . Uncle Jim was in the laundry room
fridge again, we think he was after your beer !
Good thing ya took it with ya.

Aunt Sheila is gonna bring us more doggie treats for
us in the morning. Good thing you left our allowance
in the treat basket so they could buy more.

Dad for Christmas could you get us a real big remote
for the T.V. ??
I couldn’t get the T.V. to work. Either the buttons are
too small or my paws are too big and Sadie was no
help at all. I really wanted to see if Rin-tin-tin or
Lassie was on.

Sadie doesn’t like her crew cut but I think mine is cool.
Girls are just funny about their hairdos I guess.

Sat P.M.

John Wayne is on T.V. tonight – I might spend the
night with uncle Jim’s cause he can make his T.V. work.

We hope you and mom are having a good time ! We are
getting lots of cookies and plenty of fresh water.

Sun A.M.

Dad , guess what , When uncle Jim came over this
morning to let us out he had his tater salad shirt on.
You know the one, it’s the one you flipped him with
mom’s mustard potato salad when he smarted off at ya.

He said he would let us out again about 12:30 P.M.
before he went to sleep so he can go to work tonight .

We came back in at 1:30 and I have been watching
for you, well really listening you know we need some
lower windows all I can see is the corn field out the
patio door.

See you and mom soon we hope !

King Thor (& Queen Sadie)
