Scott,
We're woodburners, and will bring a lot of wood. How much of the oil will you need -- I have 3 gallons? I also decided to do my chili in the Dutch oven, but do you want me to bring the big turkey propane oil contraption for the eggs?

Regardless of weather next weekend, looks like I'm just a "maybe". Our trailer's been at the shop in Elkhart getting some warranty work done. Now that it's done, we were planning on driving up there Friday morning to pick it up, then head for Mounds Friday afternoon. However, the forecast for late in the week in northern Indiana (thus far) is a little iffy. Not too excited about hauling it in the snow & salt, so if there's much up there, we'll have to just leave it up there a while longer. If we do miss it this year, we have a nice consolation event in the RV show at the state fairgrounds next weekend.

Scottish eggs are a delicacy disapproved by both the American Medical Association and Weight Watchers. They are hard boiled eggs coated with a nice, thick crust of crumbled sausage. Bob & Vic Henry can tell you more precisely how they're made. They are wonderful! Please note that the AMA requires one Lipitor & one baby aspirin to be taken with each Scottish egg.

 Scotch eggs were discovered on line while I was looking for something to deep fry. They are served a lot in England bars according to the site I read.

Take a hard boiled egg Pack it in sausage then roll it in a seasoned bread crumbs and deep fry it. It's kind of like an entire breakfast rolled up in a portable meal, good cold they next morning also

I suggested it to Chell, and I got shot down.

Pepper and Joey were on my side though!

Ok lady and gents, it's getting close to the gathering and I was wondering what everyone was going to bring to eat.. Just kinda wanting to figure out what I am going to bring. Also it doesn't look like we are going to be able to watch the colts play.... :( so are we going to watch movies? And on another note have we talked scuba jeff into making the trip????? I was just wondering I know he was still up in the air. can't wait to see everyone. Have a good one.

We will bring a big pot of spiced meatballs and some goodies to deep fry (mushroons. onions and pepperoncinies).

May try and do an apple brown betty for a sweet tooth fix.

Intruder Alert

Postby Hectic Shoobie » Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:53 am

Would it be too impolite to ask if Bob and I could come up for the day to meet everyone and get a look at some of your TDs and ask questions? We are getting close to actually starting our build. We have only seen 3 in person, everything else is online. This group seems really great and we wish we had ours built already so we could join in.

I think that there may be some people there on friday but most of us will be there on saturday. It would be great to help you out in any way that we can. Can't wait to meet ya'll!!!!
