Kurt and Scott...site #56 is now open. Derek is having back surgery on Friday the 18th and won't be camping. Site is paid for. If we don't have a taker, maybe a site for the pitch-in or ???

Hopefully some one will jump on it. That's good real estate and I hear the neighbors are really nice.

I so wish I could grab it myself the scouts aren't camping till Sat night and I'm half tempted to come down on Friday with a tent and squatting somewhere (kinda far to pull the camper for a 1 nighter) I've heard such good things about the Friday night wine and cheese party and I'd kinda be like a new camper it's been so long

Scot, I have a couple of cots I could bring for you guys. One is one of Gander Mountain's super cots, wide and very sturdy. Did I mention I really, really hate to sleep on the ground?????

Sweet of you to offer but really I wouldn't sleep on the ground myself my back wouldn't take it, I bought a split king air mattress last year when I started camping with my cub scouts when one person uses it you stack them for an elevated twin which is nice I don't have to bend to get down to the bed. Can't wait for July and bringing the tear drop. wonder if I can have it done by then it's only been 7 years and 5,000 miles of camping

Verna, great suggestion. I just happen to have the DVD's for that. I'll run them at home to make sure they will play OK.

If not, I have plenty of other DVDs to choose from.

The deed is done! Sharon (that's me) and Gertrude (my trailer) will arrive at site 94 sometime on Friday.

Welcome aboard Sharon ( and Gertrude) I will be on the road Friday mid morning from Lafayette 65 south to Columbus then Indiana S.R. 7 to Madison ( its a straight shot and ends 500 yards from the park entrance) if you want to caravan down just PM me. I know Madison pretty well I was born there and have aunts uncles and cousins all over down there.

P.S. wear your walkin' shoes as the main drag of Madison is line 3 miles long with all kinds of nifty Junque shops.

You will like this bunch they are a great crew !
