Looks like I'm foiled again no sitters and wife having mandatory OT and to top it all off I found out last night at the meeting that the spring campout just happens to fall the same weekend as the May gathering how'd I know that was gonna happen :x

Maybe the summer one or fall, I love hat they're in scouts but it sure puts a crimp in my teardropping

I have a couple of propane heaters. The kind that sit on top of the propane tanks. Should I bring them for the big tent???

Yes Tom, there is a big shelter made out of tarps and pvc that stays pretty warm with the heaters in it. Problem with that is you can't get far enough away from Bob to not have to listen to all of his stories.... ;)

So, feeling a little better, but it's a 3 hour drive for me. When will the shelter arrive?

Should be up and heating by dusk tonight (Friday)

I will have my 10 x 10 up about 4:30 with my double mantle coleman lantern for a better than nuttin' source of heat.

Campfire will be roaring 10 minutes after I arrive (also about 4:30 )

Snow has stopped with 2-4 inches on the ground depending on who is reporting.

I have the dinner rolls (I hope 4 dozen is enough), butter (as requested by bobhenry!!), and a tub of butter substitute.

Sunny Day and I will be there Saturday morning.

Thanks for the heated shelter--I'm looking forward to it!!!

It has been too long since our last camping trip. Nothing is where it is supposed to be. This is @$#%^%^& frustrating, but one way or another we will be leaving tomorrow morning to join you.

Tom

PS. The 413F I just bought fired right up when I got the pump oiled and got the cap to seal. Bringing it with me for cooking.

Well, the 2012 Shiveree is happening!!! Sunny Day and I spent a couple of hours visiting the guys. It was down in the mid teens last night and will go down to about 18 tonight before warming up tomorrow. I'll tell you, Sunny and I are spoiled  She had a pink-polka-dotted fleece sweater on, and ended up being wrapped in a fleece dog blanket. I should have worn my heavier leather winter boots because my feet got really cold. Now you know why I didn't stay to spend the night

Thanks, Bob Henry for the really good White Chili--I liked it!! And his Apple Pie is delicious :applause:

It was nice finally put faces to everyone there--thanks.
