Bring it along if you can. I think 30 qt will be enough but who knows what will happen.

As a life time Hoosier it has always been in my chilli and quite often I get good natured razing for this inclusion mostly by folks from other regions/states.

P.S. Thanks Kurt for defining Chilli dump, I was having a flash back to vault toilet visits during the shivarees.... :rofl2:

I'm a Buckeye and have done it both ways. Since I make a big batch and freeze most of it, the pasta doesn't fair too well.

Now what about beans? Something dem Texans forgot about! I might have 1-2 containers of frozen chili left but I'm not planning on being there until Sunday morning if I get my CRV back from transmission repair.

Just a small pot......

The last batch I made.....filled the crock pot to the top!

I have a simple ratio. For every 1 lb of meat you need 2 15oz cans of beans and 2 15oz cans of tomatoes.

Thanks but I dont think they will let us double up. We might just drive the old '48 p/u on Sat for dinner and bring the movie screen

The parks do allow a trailer and a tent on the same site. Pete Olson is tenting this gathering I am sure we can make room for ya somewhere.

You might contact the park 765-649-8128. I swear they sand bag back a site or two for just such problems.

I found it hard to believe that the campsites are all taken but when I looked they are ALL reserved. There ougth to be a lot of civilian gawkers for us to show off to :D

hay Dan pjo129 took my extra site but he is going to put a tent on it
you may want to ask him because you can put a unit and a tent on the same lot
and split the cost
just a thought

I grew up with spaghetti noodle in chili. I think that is Cincinnati style (not sure). Sometimes we have them now, sometimes we go with fritos. But always with cheddar cheese and sour cream on top.

It does make a good streeeeaaaaaacher. That's always nice with 4 boys.

Dan, We'll make room for you. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Nice ratio. That's about the same we use. Quantity seems to be about right, too. Should make about 2 meals for my clan.

BTW - we also like to add corn to ours.

The 2012 version had corn added via Southwestern style.

Few complaints until the band started tooting their thoughts, LOL!

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

Verna, you should have seen it last year. We had rain :rainy: , wind (30-40mph), cold temps (35-55F) :snowstorm: and tons of leaves blowing around. If it wasn't for the great friends it would have been a disaster.

This year looks much more promising. 8)

Hey Newbies I picked up 2 redneck water heaters Sunday for $3.00 each. They are great for hot water at the ready for hot chocolate , tea, or ( I use the coffee singles ). It is Oh so great to wash dishes with hot water and you can even take a dab and dash in your potty tent to wash the stinky parts if you want.

Image

Any way ... I have 2 up for grabs. I know about 10 of us vetrans have ours at the ready and we love them. I don't want to drag them up just to drag them home so if interested and you have $3.00 to spend, P.M. me and I will bring you one.

First come first served.
