Scott, the "Chili Dump" is a big mixed pot of everyone's chili. It all goes into the "big pot" and will balance out all of the flavors. I'll bring my 30 qt pot and burner (to keep it warm) and we'll all have the mixed and blended chili on Saturday night.

All you need is a beverage and a bowl w/ spoon. (and some napkins)

We'll also have some hot dogs cooked up for those who would like a "Chili Dog" or two.

Sounds like a good way to fix a big meal. Perfect for us. If we have chili left over, the Sunday (Pitch-in) breakfast will have an other option. Kind like left over pizza. :)

OK I want to know just how many Hoosiers actually add macaroni to their chilli ?

As a life time Hoosier it has always been in my chilli and quite often I get good natured razing for this inclusion mostly by folks from other regions/states.

P.S. Thanks Kurt for defining Chilli dump, I was having a flash back to vault toilet visits during the shivarees.... :rofl2:

Grew up with spaghetti in my chili and I think my mom used it as a streatcher. I don't put it in mine but Amy has started making it on the side and adding macaroni to hers.

We always had macaroni in our chili growing up. I still prefer it that way.

My first experience with macaroni in chili was not until I moved to IN from MI. I really thought you "Hoosiers" were nuts!!!!!! But it's ok, I've gotten used to it. :D

Bob, I'm glad we got that definition straightened out.

As far a macaroni goes, I usually don't put it in but I've had some really good chili with it in. I like to add a little sour cream to mine (especially if it's too hot).

Either way, it smooths the flavor out.

I've seen chili with Turkey, green chili peppers, jalapenos, carrots, celery, and a lot of other things.

That's the nice part of the "Dump". It all gets mixed together and will take on a life of its own. :o

That reminds me. Does anyone have an allergic reaction to anything in Chili? If so you should speak up. BTW....Gas is not an allergic reaction.

Its looking like the Suttons might make it after all. Kourtney is in labor right now so Nora McKensie's arrival should be here and done by the 28th. Didn't somebody have a site not needed?

Verna, I don't put them in mine but I have had chili like that before. :R To be on the safe side a good soup would be a smart idea. :)

Nobody knows what the mixed chili is going to taste like. Adventurous soles are we. :NC

Dan, there is a site available Friday night and I am sure there will be cancellations on Saturday..if not I have a pull thru site and your welcome to double up...II would be happy to park my truck in overflow parking to make room.
