I thought it was a technique of starting your campfire with a "blue flamer"! :R

A reminder to everyone who will be geocaching Saturday afternoon: it's time to load the geocaches into your GPS and gather your caching stuff.

Lets plan to meet at the shelter at 1:30 (Does that work well?)

We'll head out for a few caches and plan to be back by about 4:00 so we can get our dishes started for supper.

Sound like a plan???

Remember everyone: geocaching newbies are more than welcome! Join us and learn a great new hobby/obsession!

Another reminder---somebody (Gary?) paid for the shelter--so make sure to check with him about how much each person needs to chip in to reimburse him.

Looks like the good weather will arrive just in time low 50's for sleeping and low sixtys with sun during the days with almost no chance of rain.

Gary how much was the shelter ?

And I am really looking forward to Geocaching I never did it before but I am really looking forward to learn how to do it.
Also when you do that do you replace the item that you find with a new item or do you just put back the item that was there in the location? Was not sure how that works?

I am really looking forward to camping as I need some relief from internet stress. :worship:

We switched from Time Warner Cable/internet/phone to Direct TV and Earthlink for internet and Magicjack for phone. Of course it is turning out to be totally messy with my losing all my contacts and needing to give a new email address out to people I can't contact. And of course my home lives via the internet for communication. When the internet went down it also took my home phone which is digital internet based and it took out my cell phones because I can't get Sprint at my house without an Airave which is internet based.

I have the internet back now so my phones are working again, but I need to send my new email to every board I'm on and people I know.

That will be next week. BrwBier I hope your homemade beer is really strong this year.

On another subject the cost of the shelter was a $100 per night. We have only rented it for Saturday and Dennis will probably be able to get the keys for Friday evening and I don't give them back to about 10 AM on Sunday. So that should cover the weekend with a warm place to meet. Current weather forecast is for upper 50s on Friday and Saturday but a low 60s on Sunday. Possible chance of rain on Saturday.

Gary, I was wondering what happened to you. I sent you an email and it was bounced back. Then I sent a PM and that went unanswered. I began to think you were backing out.

PM me if you can and I will give you my contact info. I should get to the CG by early afternoon.

Hello Everyone !

I hope you all have a wonderful, dry weekend. I know most will
come away with a full belly, and a few with a slight hang-over.
Hang-overs can be avoided, the more you practice. :wine:

Have a great time, I wish We could have joined you.

+Steve is on the road and I hope to be leaving in the next hour with Finn. Cheri gets these huge headaches 2 or 3 times a year that just wipe her totally out and last night was one of those so she may join us later. More room in the tear for Finn and I tonight. If she comes up she will drive up in the Porsche which means I will have a nice drive available 8) . See everyone tomorrow. Milwaukee TV says there is a chance we might hit 70.

I'd like to thank everyone for another great CNTL outing! I wish we could have been there fro the start on Friday night, but we enjoyed the time we did have.

Mother Nature certainly smiled on us, as well. That was refreshing!

I thought we'd have more joining us for the geocaching fun, but we had a great time (and a LONG walk) nonetheless.

And do I even need to mention all the fabulous FOOD!?!?!

It was a wonderful weekend at Cooler By The Lake. Although it was slightly cooler I got a sunburn on my head. The weather gods were smiling down on us this past weekend. Very enjoyable and Cheryl and I made the long ride home safely.
