Thanks to all that attended this year's Cooler by the Lake VII.

I was glad to see so many old friends and meet so many new. Two brand new CampInns were on their first outings along with a northern Wisconsin manufacturer's trailer that I had never seen before. Even had a brand new home built from Iowa.

Weather was in the mid 60s during the day and most of us were cracking a window on cloudless nights with a full moon. The shelter is worth every penny we paid for it as the food was excellent and the company fantastic.

We lost one participant due to their car failing but picked up two that we didn't know about. 18 sites filled with tears and tiny trailers.

Great way to start off the camping season. Special thanks to Dennis and Cheryl for getting us into the shelter of Friday. Pat thanks for organizing the food. Cheers to all.

The weather today and tonight is still great! Just took a walk through the now mostly empty campground. It was wonderful to meet all of you - thanks for the good food, great company, and super secret root beer! We're enjoying a fire and listening to the quiet of the evening...

Hey Lynn, what happened ? We were looking forward to meeting you, and hope the breakdown was not serious.

Broke the fan belt when the water pump and alternator went down,, So I didn't get anywhere this weekend.
My roommate came and got me from the repair shop, They will pick me up when it's fixed.
Nothing major,, Just lots of unexpected $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Glad to hear all was good fun, and good food

Bob

Sprecker now makes a root beer that you need to be 21 to consume.

Well , Number 7 is over. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Way to much food, but that is part of the process. The weather cooperated for April. We had some new campers and lots of regulars. It was good to see all. Special thanks to Gary for organizing everything, Pat for keeping the food thread and Dennis for getting us the shelter on Friday night for free!

 Hooray, thanks for posting next year's dates. Bob will be retired, and if I can get that weekend time off request approved, we'ld like to come. I can't ask any earlier than 6 months before the requested days, but I will surely do it then! Sounds like a fun weekend!

Deb,

We had one year in which Easter caused a change, but otherwise Cooler is always the last weekend in April. You will find that many gatherings have a traditional weekend that normally does not change so that people can plan ahead. After all with today's internet we often need to register 5 or 6 months in advance in able to insure a gathering of 10 to 20 trailers can be near each other. That can provide some anxiety for some. Who would have thought 2 weeks ago that Cooler would have awesome 60 degree weather? This has been the longest winter that I can remember.

Look forward to seeing you next year.
