Very sorry to hear this Dan. Maybe you can make LOL's Hip Hop the first weekend in June. I'm sure we will run into you sometime this summer. See you next year.

Woke up today with seeing sleet coming down outside. And windy and cold and rainy weather. I hope this lets up so next weekend is dry and nice out. This sure does not feel like almost end of April and still miserable outside yet. :(

Maybe it will be warmer near the lake this year.

My wife pointed out that we once had a big snow storm on May 12th. The big difference between then and now is that there was plenty of 70 degree weather before that snow storm while this year it's like winter can't end.

Weather Bug says that we should be expecting weather with high in the 50's and a couple of the days upper 50's. Lows are above freezing. If the wind stays away that will not be to bad. It still motivated me to go out and buy a new shelter to put over the hatch of the tear.

I've been Watching the weather closely too. While there is still a chance of snow on Wednesday, it looks like we might have a dry weekend.

If things don't change, there is a good chance I will be able to come over on Thursday. The lack of spring has me in a bit of a tizzy. I need to go camping!!!

Tom,

Steve and I should be there and I have campfire in a can for warmth. I look forward to being all set up and watching others, besides I have new things and don't want to look foolish in front of others as I figure them out. ;)

Just finished the door awning frame and Opal did a bang-up job of covering it for me and today I waterproofed it. Just a little more protection from the elements

Our weather for Chicago says sunny and 70 for Saturday, they better be right! That means 50 at the CG. Without any Spring warm up, 50 will feel warm!

We just bought that shelter from REI that was on one of the CampInns at the October event and I am really looking forward to trying it out. It seemed perfect for a teardrop. As with everything I have spent most of the day modifying it to meet my perceived needs.

The "Campfire in a Can" has also never been tried so some experimentation going to occur here.

With the shelter being available to us I think we are in for a good weekend.

Digging the Little Tow out of its hibernating spot in the back of the garage today. Taking stock and inventory. Getting excited for next weekend!
