Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

The CRA was SO much fun! When several of us realized we would not be able to attend the Fall Gathering and therefore would not be seeing each other until NEXT SPRING , we decided to get together the last weekend of September. We will meet up at Lincoln State Park. I don't know anything about the park other than what I have read on-line. If anyone can give some hints on where in the campgrounds would be good for a group of teardrops, please post it! The list of things to do in the park is impressive, PLUS it seems that Holiday World is having their Halloween celebration on Saturdays and Sundays starting the week before we arrive! No one should go away complaining that there was nothing going on!

If you can't get to Potato Creek, or if you just want to go out in September as well as in October, come join us!

Gerry and I took a wrong turn at Albuquerque when we left McCormick's Creek on Sunday and ended up spending the night at Lincoln State Park that night. We asked for a nice quiet spot, so of course we were put next to the path to the beach/store and near the pit toilets. So in the first hour, we set up, gave about 8 tours and fixed cooked hamburgers for dinner.

I think the far end of the grounds is best, more trees and a little more private. The far end of the outer loop has great space behind the gravel pads for a larger group. The unfortunate (and fortunate) part is the trash is far away, and poor Indiana was walked out from the weekend and just wanted to stay at the site and sleep.

Sharon, Thanks for posting about this camp out. I never am able to make a long haul all the way up north after school is back in for the girls. I will be checking my calendar to see if I can make the outing!

Kurt, I think you posted in the wrong place. THe names you have are for the "official" gathering at Potato Creek (I'm in site 19 by the way) --- this discussion thread is for the unoffical gathering at Lincoln State Park in the southern part of the state over September 28'th weekend....

For this non-official gathering, I am thinking about reserving site 90. That whole back row is up against the woods, nicely spaced from the neighbors, and still a reasonable walk to the showers (which are also very nice)

The other option...and I'd like to do this, but want to coordinate between us. I don't want to be that close to strangers... are the sites around 39 are also very nice, but a little closer together. Any thoughts?

I'd like to get this reserved by Friday the 9'th!! Its going to start filling very soon!!!

Just got #35. I know, not at the end of the loop, but close to you-all, AND close to the bathrooms!

I think that Saturday pitch-in would be great!

After packing up on Sunday I plan on heading to Santa Clause and Holiday World. Haven't been there in YEARS!!!

Site 43 for me. Yeah, close to the restrooms for me, too.

Sure, no problem for the pitch-in on Saturday night. Since we're a small group, we'll have to co-ordinate what we bring and make.

It's all good now. It's all straightened out. This is the Lincoln State Park (south of Jasper, IN) getting together for the last weekend in September. And, this is NOT a splinter group....just some of us who can't necessarily get to the Potato Creek gathering in October.

We can't wait to go. Life has been CRAZY since CRA. We just can't seem to get away.
