I'm bringing my sit-on-top kayak that I fish from.

Sweet! We just got sit-on-tops. Just have to figure out how to haul both the kayaks and the camper.

Mickey, I turn mine upside down and use parachute rope to tie it to the roof rack. I also take rope down to the front and rear bumpers. I carried it over 600 miles last year without a problem.

Mine is a 9'. I've had it for about 7 or 8 years. I'd love to upgrade to an actual fishing kayak, but I can 't justify the cost this year. Maybe next year.

I think ours are 14.9'. We haven't had them in the water yet.

I have really been pondering this one hard. Feelfree Moken 14' Angler Kayak
Been wanting to trade up from the canoe. Actually trade down from. Its a Grumman 19 foot square back.

And have something I can use on lake superior.

That one should be just fine on Lake Superior. Elevated seat or "normal "? I saw the elevated seats at the Boat, Sport, & Travel Show and I was impressed.

It is both, you set it low to paddle, when you want to fish you can adjust it up to ten inches high.

Curious how you raise it while in the water. Kayaks don't have much of an area to stand next to the seat while in the water...

This video is the same seat in a kayak. I think you can see how it operated better .
