That was a funny video. I love Jib Jab even the WalMart video they made a few years ago.

Can any of my Illinois neighbors suggest any popular state parks in the land of Lincoln? I was thinking of planning a camping trip to Mississippi Palisades State this coming summer. Any other suggestions?

Well , you could always join one of our gatherings. It is full of LOL people that can tell you about many of the camp grounds around the state. If you could tell us where you are, that would help. Tina and Jerry host Tears by the River in September. It is located in Thomson Illinois at the Causeway. That is an Army Corp of Engineer park. Right on the Mississippi River and in most of our opinions a nicer park the than Palisades .Those 2 parks are only about 10 miles apart. Maybe tell us a little more about what you like in a CG and others will chime in.

Wi urban camo I'm Wisconsinite too.

Start with Cooler by the Lake at the end of April
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=57806

and then attend the Land of Lincoln events as listed here
http://www.tearjerkers.net/new_forum/vi ... =48&t=6988

I am the contact person for Cooler and as I live only about 15 miles north of the Illinois border most of their events are way closer for me to attend. They are also a great group of people. The St. Croix chapter is more than 700 miles across and the majority of the LOL events are within a 100 miles or less for me. Not a hard decision for me. I can't say enough about how great Steve and Doug run their chapter.

Woodbutcher and Gary..............thanks for the response. For starters, I will request off for the event on April 24-27 at Kohler Andrae State Park. In a day or two I will then reserve a site at the listed state park. I recently upgraded from an Aliner camper to Gadetman's cargo trailer. You all seen it on this site, I think. Hope you don't mind a cargo trailer joining in.

By the way, my wife and I live near the Milwaukee area.
