***Attention***

Early registration closes today so if you want a T-shirt with your registration, now is the time to let me know.

You can email (or PM) me with your shirt size up until the end of today. Your registration form and payments can come later but the T-shirt order must be sent in.

As of May 20th, your registration will drop to $10 (without a T-shirt) but you will still receive two breakfast passes for the Saturday breakfast.

Please call in, email ([email protected]) or PM me to get your T-shirt for CRA 2015 before the end of today!!!.

I ran across several folks at our spring gathering who were sadly lamenting they had to settle for primitive sites to get reserved for the CRA. I told them, and would like to remind everyone, that there are always a few last minute dropouts as life can sometime get in the way of even camping.

I am sure Kurt will help to guide you to any of these canceled sites.

And to those that find themselves unable to attend just let us know and we will find a buyer for your site in the group.

OK Campers, we are showing 123 registered campers for CRA 2015.
This is fantastic...
.BUT... we still have only 112 campers who have paid up.

Since the T-shirt order has been sent in so the registration amount has dropped to $10 per camp site.

Here is the Registration form link

Update on the CRA 2015 Tearjerkers Gathering.

The current maps show 123 registered campers and will be added to in the near future as more people let us know were they are camping.

The T-shirt order is in and the event is shaping up nicely.

I have been making name tags for each entry and these will be attached to the "Welcome Bags". It will make it easier to get to know one another during your stay.

I spoke with "Red" from the Louisiana Chapter today regarding the R/C race event that will be happening around 3:00-4:00 pm on Friday.

Red will be your "Go to" guy for the event and any questions should be posted on the forum. Red can help with the basics and together you all can make this a fun event.

Here is a link to the CRA web site. R/C link

Obviously, we need more racers so don't be shy.

We still have 2 1/2 months to go before the CRA 2015 and the registrations are still coming in.

After May 16th, the early registration will end and general registration will continue.

The final attendance number is always fun to guess at and as we close in on the July dates, the number will climb.

Take a guess and see what happens. The winner will get (cash) for the return trip.

It's only $1.00 per guess.

Here is the list of guesses so far:

Prize money $20.00
1 Paul04tj "A lot" (I'm not sure if this counts)
2 Paul A 119
3 Mark G 125
4 Rob H 131

You missed me in the count, Kurt. I'm sure it's because you have absolutely nothing else on your plate for this shindig. :)

As I told Dan at the Hardy Lake gathering, I will be happy to lend my expertise to the backing seminar/demo. We'll be getting in on Wednesday, so let me know if you need anything.

Pete, you are probably way more qualified for this than anyone. We will rely on some help and advice from you.

I haven't been over here on this board lately so I figured I'd better stop in and check on the CRA thread over here too. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there!

We're adding another event to the calendar for Thursday evening at the CRA!

Thirsty Thursday at the CRA!!

Home Brew & Micro Brew Beer Tasting Evening

Thursday evening

6:00 p.m.

Site #100

Come join us on my site for an evening of casual beer sampling and cross country culture.

-Bring your favorite home brew, local micro brew, or just plain ol' favorite brew for folks to sample. (plus any extra that you might want to have for yourself) If you don't drink beer come anyway and bring whatever you like!

-Pretzels and sampling cups will be provided

-Fireside snacks will be welcomed if folks want to nibble throughout the evening. Keep it simple.

-Musical instruments are very much welcomed for fireside entertainment. (If you can play one...that would be even better!)

- BYOC (chair) BYOBS(Bug Spray)

Campfire will be provided
