Not a problem Ben. Half the people that are coming to "Cooler" will be coming on Friday. We try to have a relaxed atmosphere. This is camping after all and you need to do things at your pace. Plus many of us are retired and coming on Thursday is just one more day away from home not thinking about mowing the lawn.

I got site 87 booked. We'll be right there on that foot path that connects to the next loop to the south.

It's an electric site - we never stay at electric sites. I'll have to bring the rope lights to make it worth it! The little girl would probably have fun with our new LED X-mas lights too!

Register for a camping site here;

While the majority of the group reserves sites in the first loop some of the electric sights in the second loop are closer to the shelter and heated bathrooms. Shelter on the map is the "star".

Trailer count is now - "21"

I just reserved site 37 for my husband and I. We will probably bring our two dogs, Sophie and Max. This will be our first outing with our tear and our first chapter event. Here's hoping for some nice weather.

Welcome Zipline65. Even if the weather does not totally co-operate you will find that the shelter makes all the difference for an event this early in the year. We are now 21 trailers. Add one or two who will decide at the last minute makes this about the same size as last year.

I'm very sad.

I was holding off on making a final decision, but it really looks like we will not be attending CNTL this year. :cry:

A couple weeks after last year's CNTL, the company I worked for announced a "Marketing Realignment Strategy" that left myself and 3 others in our marketing department without jobs. I was unemployed for most of last summer but finally took a job at a national home improvement store.

It's nice that I am employed with health insurance, but the schedule at this place is absolutely awful. I only get one full weekend off per month. And with that, I don't get the Friday or Monday unless I use vacation, which I don't have yet. To make matters worse, they really don't post the schedule until about 2-3 weeks prior. So I'm not even sure if I'm scheduled to have that weekend off or not.

If a miracle happens and I'm scheduled to have off that Saturday, we may drive up and spend part of Saturday there. I hope that much is possible at least.

So I'll be thinking of you guys having fun pitching 'shoes, geocaching, cooking out, walking on the beach, etc.

Have FUN!!!

Annette & Kevon,

You two are always welcome at any gathering. So sorry to hear of your difficulties but glad to hear you are landing on your feet. When you get that seniority and are more able to adjust your work schedule we will always have a site for your tear. If you are free Saturday make sure you head up here. Thanks for posting.

One of the reasons I really like coming to Cooler is because some of the campers I only see at that gathering. Last year I had a family wedding and missed Cooler. So I will miss Pat and Mark and I really hope Annette and Kevon can at least make Saturday. I hate to go a second year not visiting with you guys. But it's good to be working and maybe the schedule Gods will shine down on you Kevon! :worship:

A Saturday Food Thread has now been posted here;

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62855

You do not need to be exact on what you are thinking of sharing. An example would be "Main Dish" or "Dessert". We are going to try LOL's idea of just making a little more and only doing Breakfast or Evening Meal. Not both unless you really want to. The food thread is so that everyone does not decide on doing breakfast and then there is no food for supper. Signing up will also give everyone an idea as to what they think is missing from the meal. That said, I will not complain if everyone signing up for the evening meal wants to bring dessert.

I do have a sweet tooth. :D

If you still are wondering what to make for breakfast or the evening meal on Saturday try looking through TNTTT's new cookbook:

http://www.blogicalthoughts.com/zips/TnTTTCookbook2.pdf

Good stuff in here. Post on the food thread when you decide. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62855

This year's commemorative button has been ordered. You get extra points if you can tell me who the two gorgeous teardrop women are.

If you have never been to a Cooler then you have missed this beach.

I thought this would be a lot harder. Sherry for sure and I believe you're right about Jean. :beer:

Picture was taken two years ago down on the section of beach that the dogs are allowed to walk.
