Hi friends, I woke up from hibernation and noticed how much was happening. We booked #24 for Fri-Sun. The "cooks night out" sounds like fun, but it would be a huge commute to work the next morning or a long drive home that night late. We will see ya'll Fri.

I thought I always got an e-mail every time I got a PM. Seems I got a message from you Duke and two from Steve that I never saw. Thanks for responding and I apologize to both of you for being somewhere else. Old guy syndrome.

Hi Everyone!

We're planning to make it. I'll have to start looking through to see which sites are left!

It should be me and the wife and the now four-year-old little girl. A 4' teardrop is a bit small nowadays. I froze in a tent in that freezing-rainstorm last year!

I also have a friend interested in building a teardrop. I'm hoping to get him out for the day on Saturday just to see everyone's teardrops!

Ben,

Just let us know what your site is and if you will be dining with some of us on Thursday. Good to hear your coming.

Looks like we're sitting this one out

Postby tearhead » Wed Mar 18, 2015 8:55 pm

Hi, Everyone--I have actually not dropped off the face of the earth! We ended up taking a pretty long non-teardrop vacation last summer and then our daughter got engaged in fall. The wedding is June 14. So I've only checked into the forum a few times in the past six months. Anyway, we think we're probably going to sit this one out. We might possibly be a late addition depending on how things are going around here wedding-wise, though. Thought I'd better let you know, Gary, so you can get a different person to do the food thread! We are hoping to teardrop to Maine after the wedding, though.

Got the teardrop out of the garage, gave it a good going over before putting it back----felt great just to sit in it and daydream about the upcoming camping season. It's only five weeks before we're out on the teardrop trail and having fun at CNTL

Congrats on your daughter's wedding Pat. :) The time between now and June is going to fly by pretty fast---lot's to do!

Pat I'm very sorry to hear that you and Mark may miss this year's gathering. Family is more important and there is always next year.

I am sure we will see you somewhere down the road.

Currently we have 22 people listed for "Cook's Night Out". It is important that we have a very close idea to how many we are going to have show up for our Thursday night meal at a local restaurant.

I had listed March 23rd as the last day to indicate a desire to attend. THE 23RD IS THIS MONDAY. I'm hoping that local residents Dennis and Cheryl would be willing to find a place that can accommodate a group of our size.

I will be putting a food thread up shortly so watch for it. I would like to follow Doug and Steve's lead with the LOL chapter where we sign up to contribute to either Saturday morning breakfast :picnic: or Saturday evening supper but not both. :Flippin Burger:

Just over one month before we are back camping so get ready.

Cheryl and I went out to eat at Hopps Haven and the food was good but the service was questionable. It took a long time to get our food but we do have all night. We will make reservations for 6:30 PM on Thursday April 23rd if that time would work for everyone.
