Indiana gathering 1st weekend in April?

Postby IndyCubby » Thu Dec 29, 2005 8:41 pm

Hi all.

I thought I would see if there was any interest for a gathering of some sort this spring...specifically the first weekend in April (March 31st - ?). I'm a teacher and have the first week of April off for spring break....just trying to plan ahead. I really love the kids, but it is the VACATION TIME that keeps me going! ha ha ha.

I haven't made contact with too many Indiana people here, but I have a feeling that there are some lurking about.

I'd be willing to travel to a neighboring state to gather, also. Any interest out there?

Hey Boodro. Good to hear from you!

Let's keep this post cookin' for a while and maybe a plan will come together.

I have been to Pokagon a number of times, but never to camp. What is the campground like?

Have you ever taken the "Tobogon" ride down the hill in the winter time at Pokagon?

Calling all Midwesterners!...Hoosiers, Buckeyes, etc. What say you? First weekend in April! Ideas? Suggestions?

I hail from the Indianapolis area. Not a teardtopper, but I built a tiny trailer. A spring get-together sounds great! I believe there is a group also planning a May gathering at Spring Mill State Park.

Hey josephhanson....looked at your gallery. I like the looks of your little trailer. Nice to know there are some local people here.

Hey Indy , ta tell ya the truth , its been years since I have been there. I was last there when I was a very young lad of about 6 . I'm 50 now. I was there in the summer & remember a big slide in the lake /beach area. I have heard about the tobbagon run , I would like to take my kids there! I don;t know much about the camping area . A little invetigation may be in order! Lets keep it goin!

Ya gotta dream in the winter!

Hey Kurt. I remember e-mailing back and forth with you a while back.

You know what...I think my e-mail address is new since we exchanged. We got new service back in November and I think we met before then. I have not been getting your e-mails.

I will PM you with my new e-mail address.

Thank you....and I look forward to meeting you sometime.
