Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Once again Dan & I took a "Road Trip" to scout out some State Parks for the fall gathering.

We looked at Pokagon State Park (Angola, IN) and it looks like a good site for the Fall gathering. Close to I-69 near Angola, Indiana.

When: Dates of October 6, 7, 8.

Since the "six month" reservation window will be opening soon we can start making site reservations in April.

Greg, have you camped there before? Any special advise you could share would be great.

Good morning all.
No, I haven't camped there before, but have wanted to. It's only 20 miles from home. I have been through it a couple times. Seems pretty nice.
The wife and I decided this year that we are going to camp more LOCALLY, this year. We should be able to camp much more often this way. Also, there are probably 40-50 camping places within a 50 mile radius of here, and we've only tried a couple.
We occasionally take our teardrop to events (drag races etc.) on weekends. Or to fairly local "tourist traps" and tourist "village" stuff on 2-3 day weekends within a State or two travel time.
I'm retired and slowing down. Don't really LOVE traveling for a week at a time any more. Plus, mama is still working. We can camp locally and she can still drive to work on Saturday when she has to.
Looking forward to a good year. (If spring ever arrives)

I grumble about Indiana (land of taxes) but I have to hand it to this state. We have some of the nicest state parks in existence. Thanks to the Indiana Tearjerkers group I have visited most of them. I get out of state and there are some poor excuses for state parks in comparison.

Oh, come on, Bob Henry. I moved out of Michigan to Indiana mostly because of over taxation and regulation. I love Michigan and it's beauty, just refuse to support Detroit anymore.
Anyway, I locked in #382. Hope to see every one there! The wife is really looking forward to it. (I'll probably have to use my junky ol' truck so I can haul the wife's swing)
