Attention Hoosier chapter campers.

Dan and I finished our "Road Trip" to scout out potential Camp grounds for the 2019 Spring Gathering.

We looked at (2) parks :
One was Brown County State Park (Nashville, In)
Wine & Cheese 6:00pm (Friday) and Pitch-in 6:00pm (Saturday)

the other was "CERA LAND" in Columbus, IN https://www.ceraland.org/campground-map-overview.html

Wine & Cheese 6:00pm (Friday) and Pitch-in 6:00pm (Saturday)

More info will be coming regarding details of each area.

The gathering date for the Spring gathering is May 16-19,2019

Taylor Ridge area:

The simplest way to pick a campground so we can start our reservations in November is to have some discussion about each option.
If no consensus is reached the "default" Campground will be Brown County SP

If we reach a decision by November 13 this year, everything should fall into place.

Please add comments or questions as they come up.

Here’s some differences in the parks that we found.
We all know what the expect with state parks such as Brown County...shaded sites, usually clean shower houses, sometimes off grade sites, $33 per night for electric site, alcohol allowed, pets on leash, $8 a vehicle to enter

Ceraland is a private park that boast a huge amount of activities...one person stated in a review...” a amusement park without the rides”! Swimming pool, skeet shooting, driving range, go kart track, fishing, disc golf,
$37 nightly electric camp sites, $42 full hook up,
NOalcohol allowed, NOsmoking allowed, NOpets allowed except for the RV sites (full hook up sites)

$2 per person entry fee, most of their activities have a separate fee
If you are a Facebook user, search the reviews for Ceraland. All over the board, a lot of negative comments! Including showers not being hot!

If you remember the girl (Abigale) who conducted interviews with many campers at our gathering, you might be interested in this link..

She sent me a link to the "Podcast" that she has published outlining the "Tearjerker movement.
