The registrations have slowed a bit. Don't forget to sign up and reserve a site and send your registration form.

The "early Registration" ends on May 31, 2019. After that date the Registration cost decreases however an "Event T-shirt" won't be included. T-shirt order must be finalized by May 31-June 1 in order to have the shirts printed on time.

ATTENTION CAMPERS::
BPT dinner:

On the CRA 2019 schedule of events is a "BREADED PORK TENDERLOIN" dinner planned for Thursday evening to coincide with the "THIRSTY THURSDAY" beer tasting.

The dinner will be pre-paid orders only for the Indiana BPT dinner.

Please let me know if you'd like to have a good Pork Tenderloin sandwich on Thursday night.

Cost per sandwich is $5.50 each.

If we can get enough entries for the dinner, I can confirm that the vendor will be there for us.

Thanks for your interest.

CRA2019 Campers:

Since the Park (Loop A) is getting full for the July 18-21 it means that there are several campers who have not announced that they are coming for CRA 2019.

The "Early Registration" ends on May 31,2019 so we need to get all current campers registered. The "T-Shirt" order must be ready so that the printer can fill the order by July.

After June 1, the Late Registration starts (with reduced fees and No T-Shirts).

We just got home with our new cargo trailer. We have decided to attend CRA this year and I am looking for some advice. We have grandchildren ages 3, 5, 8. Are there things to do with them at this park? I know there is a wonderful museum in Indianapolis for them. Also any advice on choosing a campsite? I see full sun, full shade, morning sun etc. Are these sites generally pretty dry or should we think full sun to avoid being too squishy and buggy?

CRA Campers:

Keep in mind that "Early registration" ends on May 31,2019. The T-Shirt order must be sent in on June 1 so if there are any campers who would like T-Shirt, now's the time to send in your "Early Registration" forms to me.

You can contact me using a "PM" on the forum, or by email, but I need to have all of the T-Shirts ordered by June 1, 2019.

Looking at the maps (on the web site), it looks like there are still a lot of people who have not sent in their registration for the CRA2019.

The (late registration) is only $15 per site which includes (two) breakfasts on Saturday morning. T-shirts (2019) have all been ordered but there will be past year's shirts (some sizes) available for $6.00.

All proceeds will go to our chosen charity and will serve as our "Good Deed" to help people in need.

Copied from McCormicks Creek website under activities...
Explore the spectacular limestone canyon, flowing creek, and scenic waterfalls that highlight Indiana’s first state park. Hike trails featuring diverse forest trees, spicebush, and native wildflowers, including a trail through Wolf Cave Nature Preserve and an accessible trail at the recently renovated nature center. Experience history as you climb the fire tower, use shelter houses or cross the stone arch bridge created by the Civilian Conservation Corps, or examine the historic Statehouse Quarry near White River, which furnished limestone used for the Indianapolis Statehouse. Relax in the lobby of Canyon Inn, open to all park visitors, or watch birds from the dining room porch. Catch cultural events such as concerts in the park amphitheater or attend the several special events hosted annually at the park. McCormick’s Creek State Park offers active enjoyment through all seasons of the year.

Alert! Alert! Alert! Prime CRA real estate coming available later this afternoon (7/8/19)!!!

I'm bummed to have to make this post, but unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel my site and bow out of CRA this year. ;crying; My Mom is needing more of my attention these days and I'm not comfortable being a two day drive away if I need to get back home to her for some reason. If it was a shorter trip I would have gone for it. I have held off on cancelling as long as I can, but I feel this is the best decision for me. As a result, my site (#105 Loop A) in prime territory is going to become available later today. If anyone wants to grab my site shoot me a PM and I will try to coordinate with you so that I cancel it around a time that you can go on and grab the opening. I had it booked for Tuesday July 16th arrival until Sunday July 21st departure.

As for Thirsty Thursday Evening Beer Tasting Social... The show will go on!! ;a084; Paul Arnold has agreed to host everyone on his site (#45 Loop A) this year in my absence. Thank you Paul!!

Theresa, I'm really going to miss your personality and energy at CRA this year.

Thanks for the Alert.

Between Paul and my help + others, The show will go on.

Hope things work out for you.
