Hi! I am from Sterling, Illinois (northwestern) and so far am a dreamer but hope to build one soon!

How many Illinois or southern Wi. or eastern Iowa members out there?
Do you have gatherings?
Where are some of the places you camp so I may be able to see a T&TTT up close and personal?

Hi Bruce,

We attend the Vintage trailer rally in Montello Wisconsin each June.

There are usually a few teardrops there as well as a mix of small to large trailers.

I'm not aware of any gatherings close to your area...but that doesn't mean there aren't any...

Rob

I crossed Ill on 30 just this past spring, and a few other years as well. If you want to see teardrops, an hour or so north of Madison, WI is the home of Camp-Inn teardrops. They are on this board and just this past weekend had their yearly camp-out. They are usually more than happy to show you around and see some of their teardrops. That was the first I ever saw when we rented one from them.

Nice to here from everyone in the midwest!!!

I know there are others out and about! Will all have to get together next summer and trade notes - 48Rob can give us all a lesson of how it's done!
Were lucky he is near by!
Woodbutcher is also quite the craftsman!
I'll bet there are many hidden talents out amoung us midwesterners!

Any more out THERE?

Mike welcome to the forum  You are just up the road from me. Like BrwBrier said try to make it April 27-29 over in Racine, WI for the Cooler Near the Lake Gathering. These WI folks are a great bunch of people.

Thanks Jim !! Today's weather made it a little difficult to imagine camping . . .

I'll check into getting a reservation for the April gathering - It would be great to see some of the Camp Inn stuff and meet everyone.

Post on the Eastern WI thread if these dates work for you and what site you reserved and I will add you to the growing list.

I like camping at Sugar River Forest Preserve west of Rockton.
