Here are the details for the NYS TearJerkers "Fall TearDown Camporee"! It will be at Nicks Lake SP in beautiful Old Forge NY, Sept 30- Oct 2. We will be gathering in loop "C". Be sure to reserve a site as soon as you can as this park tends to fill up quickly in the fall. Once again this will be a "do as you please" weekend so everyone can explore this beautiful area and not worry about having to be anyplace at any particular time. Please let me know what site you reserve so I can get a list of attendees posted. Hope to see you there!

You sure picked one great campground!! :applause: No motor boats on Nick's Lake, and The North Branch of the Moose River is close by. Those with canoes & kayaks take note. The only thing you may have to worry about at that time of the year is 2 feet of snow!! I better get going on my build or I will again miss all the fun.

We booked 51 yesterday. I am thinking we will try to organize a wine tour for those interested. Due to the lack of wineries around the area, we might have to setup our own wineries on our campsites.

Thanks Rick (and Diane) for organizing this. Will be great to have the tear back on the road this fall, and to enjoy the fall colors with our great campin friends!

PS. I bet its going to rain!

Kate was talking about bring sewing machines or something to do some..er.. sewing with the gals? Not sure if thats going to happen without hydro (electric for you American types). See you soon!

Believe or not Dave there is now a couple of winery shops in town, complete with wine tasting, so there you go!

Rick is there a connecting path over to loop D from C or do you have to drive out of loop C and up the road to loop D?

Anybody bringing their kayaks? I forget what the lake is like. Should we? That is of course if the weather is going to be nice... alas its only one day really. Think Al and Leslie did once, but that might have been Delta Lake.

Dave- sites 57 and 59 in loop D back up to C but not sure if there is an actual path.
Beautiful lake to kayak or canoe in. Except for the beach and and a few campsites the lakeshore is pristine Adirondack wilderness.
