Rain, Nathan. Just lots of rain. Temps at 43 dropping. Leaks in the bath vent pipes caused an early wake-up. Queenie.
HEY a tiny trailer. Whatever it takes.

Oh, noes!

Snowing here again, but the temps have been just above freezing today so we didn't really get much more on the ground during the day. Hopefully it will stop before the temp drops tonight.

Really looking forward to this gathering. Site #23 has been reserved by Chris and family. :applause: He contacted me by PM on the TJ site.

Jeanne - When are you planning on getting there? Thursday?

Thanks Darren. Got the list and map updated. I will be up on Friday morning, Donna will be up Friday night. At least right now that's how it is shaping up.

Also, I notice where Mo State Parks is now allowing some reservations (not many) at Van Meter State Park.

Edit: somebody needs to remind me to bring the hollow log I've been saving.

I had a thought, stop laughing. Anyway I don't think we'll be able to come early. The park doesn't open until the 15th. :( Oh well, see you all then.

They don't accept reservations until then. Before then all sites are first-come first-served walkups.

"All campsites are open year-round. Reservations can be made for stays during the on-season (April 15 through Oct. 31).
..
During the off-season (Nov. 1 through April 14), potable water, showers facilities and firewood are not available. Campers planning to carry in firewood must comply with current firewood advisories."

I rode up there a couple weeks ago and the pit toilet was open. There was one lonely camper in the whole campground.

Did your head hurt? :R

I was hoping you would do some recon and find some eatery that had chicken or something chicken-fried!

Right now I still plan on being there Friday morning.

We are 50/50 on this trip. My brother wants to meet Anna and I at El Dorado SP that weekend. Long story short, I don't get to hang with my bro as much as I want so..... blood is thicker than teardrops, for this gathering. He's tight on time and dough and he will be bringing his two daughters along. :applause:

Nathan,

I won't be able to come this time so I'm giving my site #37 to Tony and Kathy, so they will have a reserved space.
