 I have been saving my wine bottles so Jim sure hope u find that log with the hole. Just weird that the hosts aren't selling wood. Great profit for them. Will try to find some around the baxter or galena area on the way. Can't wait for cooler weather. queenie

Jeanne and Dennis, Phil, Bob, Gary and Trudy - This is one gathering that you will not be asked to park in a specific area based on your camper. I've never liked that.

You are all welcome to park wherever you want. Your camper is a fixed size so no matter where you stay it'll take up the same amount of space. If you have an awning it might be a good idea to park so it can open away from your neighbor.

Jeanne - Your new avatar is great!

Arriving on Thursday!

Darren - Victor Star
Bob - Firelion
Phil - okiecamper
Jeanne and Dennis - queeniejeanne
Mark and Ginger

If we all show up, and the group site is available, this will make it $20 for the night. I'll wait a few days to see if anyone else is coming early. Nathan said he will be there on Friday.

Thanks Phil.

Darren,

pardon my ignorance, but how do we do the park pas?

it is each day, right,

so a pass for thursday, and every day there after?

just wondering

Here's the deal for Thursday.

Anyone that wants to come early can camp in the group area. It will be normal camping rates of $15.50 per camper. Not including the park pass which is $4.20 per day.

If we want we can reserve the area at the group rate of $100. So if we have 7 people coming it will be more cost effective to just reserve the area for another day. Nick said we can take care of that on the 23rd so we don't have to commit right now.

Park Vehicle Pass - These are $4.20 per day per motor vehicle unless you have a yearly pass. This is not included in the camping charges. There are several ways to get the park pass. At the front gate if it's open. Just beyond the gate there is a self pay station you can get one at. The park office will sell them to you and I've seen the park ranger come by to collect money also.

We'll see how many decide to come on Thursday and go from there.

yearly. Would this be cheaper? on the daily pass fee.....When we were in SD we bought their State's yearly pass. Saved bunches of money. Will check it out at the office when we get there....Jeanne

It's $24.70 for the annual pass so probably not a good deal for you. :(

Not if it expires on the 12/31 but the SD goes to May 31....will be using it again. Would use Kansas too....may think about buying one at the first of the year then.....
