Great Update...all that stuff going on in Ft Scott and maybe chicken delivery! Wow, what a country......speaking of that...went in search on Bull Shoals today for sites....not a good one among them...ugly, old and crawling with big boat people.....Nathan, I swear, you may be correct in there being no other like crawford in the state of MO. Judith and I have reservations for a cabin. I don't think we will be using the camper this year. :(

Last April I was taking some clothes out of the dryer. When I got this severe lower back pain. The following day I had a MRI which showed I had a mild bulge in two disk and a ruptured disk in another one.

The ruptured disk was putting pressure on the nerve that controls my right leg. I was having numbness in the area above my right knee and severe weakness in the muscles. Some parts of the leg worked and other parts didn't.

On Mar the 4th I had surgery on my lower back. The next day I transferred from the Hospital to a Rehab hospital. Stayed in rehab for three weeks. The first week I couldn't stand on my own, balance really sucked.

I'm now doing outpatient therapy twice a week. The leg is getting better but I'm a long ways from it being like it was before this all started. The main weakness I'm having now is the muscles that you use to get up from the floor. Right now if I am on the floor I'm stuck there. To get up from the floor I need someone to lift me.

The therapist say it can take months for nerve damage to heal. And then there is no guarantee the nerve damage will return to normal. Only time will tell.

Barring any other problems we plan on being at Crawford.

Bob you just keep working at it. I went through that and still have some weakness but mine wasn't the spine. Just a couple of months pressure was enough to cause it. We're praying for you. Hope you make it.
