Yep, that'll pull it. I'll bet if you looked in the owners manual on the PA, you were probably about 900 lbs over the suggested towing weight..... DOH!!

It was great to meet you guys, we had a blast the whole weekend!! Hope to see you at another gathering soon.

The old suburbans were basically half ton trucks with wagon bodies I would think that should pull your rig. I don't know how they have changed the new ones though might not be as heavy.

Sorry to hear that bessie got sick.

I got a call today from Nick at the State Park. He just wanted to thank us again for coming to the park and wanted us to know how much they like us coming. I let him know that everyone had very nice things to say about the park and all really enjoyed themselves. I sent him links to the photos right after the gathering and he said that the aerial photo is now on his desktop. Anyway I warned :D him that we were planning on invading again next year. He said they would be looking forward to it.

Again thank you all for coming out and I hope you can make it next year.

Not yet. Nick wanted to send me the reservation packet already, it'll probably be in my mailbox next week. You should get a gathering going at Van Meter State Park for next year since you were the one that found it. Looks like a nice place to go.

Thought about Van Meter. No reservations but I understand it isn't all that busy. One can reserve the shelterhouses for $30 per day by phone.

Of course not sure of what other gatherings are at what times of the year. Petit Jean is popular, then there is the Lake of the Ozarks, LCG, etc.

Still pondering over that.
