I was hoping to attend, but I shoot Cowboy Action on the 3rd weekend of the month, so I will be camping and shooting at the range that weekend.

Can a trailer and a tent be set up in the same spot? I don't see why not. Anyway put me down for a spot.

The drives should hold at least 2 trailers and it's gravel. The areas between the sites are flat, grassy, and pretty wide. There's a lot of space, we'll make it work.

FL (Bob) you can tell there is plenty of flat, grassy area for tents.
And also plenty of room for WarPony and his campfire....

Darren.... yes, let us know if you want us to send you the money in advance or at least a deposit.

I know it's $200 for 2 nights, right?
And so we'd have to see how many people are there in order to split it.

Looks like so far it could be:
VictorStar
Rayvillian
QueenieJeannie
WarPony
T-vicky
FireLion
Reo-Ron
ShootR
OklahomaJewel
Okiecamper
Mike and Miriam
Betty and Gene
CJflyer - Chad & Sue
Hvysteel - Jim

So looks like it will be $20 or less for both nights.

Let us know Darren !!! Thanks for setting this up!

Julie

(I added us Julie ;) )

No big deal on the money, we can split it up at the gathering. I got the paperwork yesterday, yes the day after calling them. It basically comes to about $100 a night when you add in the registration fees and regular fees. Here's some of whats on the paperwork.

$95.00/night charge (flat fee regardless of how many campers are utilizing the facility).

More than one camper may be put on a site, but campers are not allowed on the grass. Tents may be set up on the grass.

All vehicles are required to have a valid KDWP vehicle permit. This fee is not included in the cost of the campground reservation.

You can see from the photos this is a huge area and we could get tons on tents in there. The KDWP vehicle permit is $4.20 per day but on that Saturday no permit is required.

I suspect that we will be adding a lot of people to this list in the next 3 months and everyone is welcome. I have toured or camped at most of the state parks on the east side of the state and this is by far the nicest I've been at.

Should we check into getting someone local to deliver firewood? It's going to be a new moon on Sept 18th. Everyone want to have a potluck dinner on Saturday? Other ideas?
