Short notice, Watkins Mill SP, May 14-16th

Kathy and I will be at Watkins Mill State Park the weekend of May 14-16th. We will be in spot 93. There are several spots still left, but probably going fast.

For those unfamiliar: Watkins Mill is just Northeast of Kansas City, just outside of Excelsior Springs, MO

We are probably going to be verrrrrrrry relaxed with no activities planned, but if anyone wants to share our campfire, c'mon out!

No activities? What kind of gathering is this? Just kidding. Actually relaxing and hanging out by the fire sounds good. I got site 92 and should be there around 8 on the 14th. Looking forward to it.

Did either of you go to Watkins Mill?.....We were in KC. all weekend.....Rain, rain, rain......We went to City Market, sweet, had bbq at one of the joints there. Not bad but my ribs are sooooo much better...lol lol lol. Stayed in Overland Park at the Hyatt Place, had a great time.....Cabellas and Argosy...Queenie Jeanne

I decided to stay home. Hated to miss camping but glad to stay out of the rain.

you didn't miss much: Friday night was great. Saturday and Sunday it drizzled all day. We had a fire for the first half of Saturday, but gave up in the afternoon.

We didn't mind though, Kathy and I stayed warm and comfortable under our canopy and read the entire weekend - exactly what we needed from looking at our computer screens all week
