Glad you are going to try and make it Miriam. I got my fishing license last trip out there. :D Caught a bluegill.

Shucks, I think the group site is reserved out. If we get 5 or more campers the group site would be cheaper and easier. I think I called Nick at the park and he said it was reserved. I'll check back tomorrow but I usually have trouble getting a hold of him on Mondays.

I was pretty sure I had checked about the group use area, it is reserved out for this weekend. Nick wasn't in but the Ranger said all we have to do is find the spots we want and we can pay for them. As long as someone is on the site by 9 PM it's all good. They have us park something on the site so other campers don't try to grab them. I can get there in the early afternoon about the time Phil arrives and we can grab up sites. (Most parks in Kansas won't let you do that.)

There are only 4 reservable sites in the park. All are in Rocky Point and on the North end. 2 are electric and 2 electric and water.

I also posted about this on the Tearjerkers site and we might get 1 or 2 more to come and camp.

Cool Bob. This is the lake side sites. Pretty short and no water.

If you want water you have to be across the road in the larger sites. There is a public water source that we can use if you don't need to be hooked up.

You want to try a lakeside site? I think your camper will fit but you might have to park your tv next to it.

Take 69 through Fort Scott and then follow Highway 7. It's turn off is several miles south of town and it'll take you to the lake turn off. It's Highway 277 for the turn off. Just look for the sign.

I'll probably make the run down to Girard for dinner on Friday. :chicken:  Anyone that wants to go let me know and I'll try to wait for you.

When do you think you'll be down Sandy and where are you coming from, if you don't mind me asking?
